A new Somali proverb that I just discovered.
Taladda aan la ruugin, waa lagu rafaadaa
THE PLAN NOT PASSIVE GNAWED CLASS. PASS. PREP. STRUGGLES
PREPOSITION + KU
The plan that hasn't been gnawed at will struggle
The word 'ruug' means 'to gnaw at something', like for example a bone that has some meat on it. You have to bite delicately to get all the meat off of the bone. In the same way, when you make a plan or proposal, you have to take care of all of the details, otherwise when you start implementing it, you will run into problems. Waa inaan xusuusto maahmaahdan!(I should remember this proverb!)
