Waa (noun) oo kale

Sometimes, when you want to explain what something is, you say that it is like some other thing. In Somali, we do this by saying 'Waa ..... oo kale'. For example,

Jaamac : Kaasi waa maxay?  ( What is that?)
Liban  : Waa Kindle              ( It's a Kindle)
Jaamac : 'Kindle' waa maxay?( What's a 'Kindle'?)
Liban  : Waa buug oo kale     (It's like a book)

'Kale' literally means 'other'. Therefore, it means ' It's like another ...'.
